Maryam Moarefvan

I was born and brought up in Iran, a country with a rich history of showing art through intricate concepts. Growing up, I was surrounded by motifs, symbols and visual stories on carpets and buildings, in films, etc. They shaped my way of thinking and communicating. In 1998 I finished a BA in Visual Communication and since then I have been using different mediums including photography, video, print, and illustration, both analogue and digital, to create meaningful images.
