Jan Barker

Jan Barker started working with clay while working for many years in Analytical Geochemistry. She taught pottery in Community Education Lewisham and sells her work locally at craft fairs and from her home. She continues her interest in chemistry with glaze experimentation - the work here shows the interaction of a dolomite/tin glaze with a high iron tenmoku style glaze giving dramatic translucent effects.
