Event Details
John Keats, Edward Thomas, Elizabeth Bishop and Seamus Heaney: four iconic poets who all looked closely at nature, and thought long and hard about how poetry can help us relate to it with more heart.
This event will explore a selection of each poet’s work, offering a short biographical sketch of their life, the opportunity to hear their poetry read out loud, and to discuss their relevance today.
It will be led by Freddie Baveystock, a local teacher, writer and Fellow of the English Association.
Suitable for 16+.
Doors open at 6.45pm. Reserve your place.
