Event Details

"Ok well not all of London, just Telegraph Hill and David Attenborough is yet to confirm.

We start the walk at St Catherine’s and onto the (specially opened) Vesta Road Nature Reserve, an oasis of peace (bar the occasional train). We’ll move through the parks and perhaps Nunhead Cemetery if time allows, but really we can go anywhere that looks promising I hope we’ll hear and see and identify a good few different birds (Bring binoculars if you have them). Of mammals foxes (and rats!) are the most likely. It’s a bit early for butterflies and insects, but there are plenty of wild (and less wild) plants across the hill. We’ll look at the different ID apps which can help sort out what we see and hear. We will also pause to consider what’s happening through climate and environmental change on our patch."

Supervised children welcome.
