The Nunhead and District Municipal Museum and Art Gallery is not a figment of A Local Man's imagination. Sir George Gellatly did exsist, a very generous local industrialist and charitable benefactor. He gave us the local pits, steelworks, nut and bolt factory, the corner shop, the chip shop, Skehans and the Museum. Ho ho ho.
