Event Details
Jagat Gamelan is a community group of SE London-based Gamelan players and dancers established for over 10 years. In March 2024 we are putting on our first event at the Festival, combining an Indonesian food demonstration, a Balinese Gamelan and Dance performance, plus Gamelan and Dance workshops so you can have a go on the instruments and experience the enchanting world of Balinese dance 'Tari Pendet Penyambutan' at our workshop during the Festival, We are hoping that everyone will be immersed in the rich cultural heritage of Indonesia.
It will be a lot of fun, so please join us. Admission free (donation welcome), plus a chance to buy Indonesian Food and other merchandise to help support our group.
