"Hear about the history of one of Lewisham’s oldest curiosity, the Brockley Jack Whalebone.

You will hear the story of the bone’s journey from 1863 to the current day, why the bone is important to Lewisham but also nationally and why it needs to be protected and preserved.

The history includes tales of highwaymen, trade in London in the early 1800s, the cruel trade in whales and how this artefact was almost lost for good.

Doors open 7.30pm. Tickets essential - please e-mail fourth.reserve@yahoo.com"
