Gilson Pereira began taking photos with a camera he shared with his best friend when he was 14 in his hometown of Sao Paulo, Brazil. A TV cameraman and video maker by trade, he has taken up photography over the last twenty years again concentrating on the natural world around him. During lockdown he spent hours in his London garden trying to capture the beauty of the birds who visited it. He is also inspired by the British landscape and has been trying to study its moody magnificence. More recently he has turned to insects discovering the stunning beauty of creatures usually ignored.
