Event Details

The Free Folk Festival in back for its 6th year, in its new home in the churchyard. Come and check out amazing local bands, including a mix of new performers and old favourites, and now with added Morris Dancers.

12.00 Toby and Rosanna - Local musicians Rosanna McCurrie and Toby Hews will be performing a mix of folk and country both classic and modern.

13.00 The Dearlings - The Dearlings are the lush vocal harmonies of Hanna & Steffy, & Will’s virtuosic guitar. Showcasing the best folk, bluegrass, country & roots music.

14.00 “Ben the Bard and Minstrel McInerney” - Be transported back in time with the medieval stylings of Ben the Bard and Minstrel McInerney!

14.15 Quaggy Morris Dancers

14.30 Hannah and the Buoys - 'Hannah and the Buoys are a folk quartet based in Brockley. Crafted around the captivating voice of lead vocalist Hannah, the Buoys play an eclectic mix of songs with influences from English, Celtic and American traditions’

15.20 Quaggy Morris Dancers

15.30 The Telegraph Hill Ceilidh band. Paul Booton's team of strummers, pluckers and scrapers play a selection of traditional dance tunes in preparation for the dancing in the church from 7:30

16.00 Quaggy Morris Dancers

16.10 Klezjammers - "Klezjammers are a community music group who play traditional Yiddish music from Eastern Europe. These melodies are celebratory in nature and usually played at weddings to make you want to dance, weep, clap and sing."
