Event Details
Building on a conversation which began at last year’s session on Macbeth, this second session led by Sylvestra Le Touzel, will as a group look at a speech from Henry lV pt l, taking a professional approach to discover how the language of Shakespeare can become accessible and richly meaningful in performance, creating feeling and making unexpected discoveries through the images and rhythms of poetry.
Having worked in detail on our own, we will consider a traditional and a more more 21st Century approach by looking at some recent interpretations.
Expect a lively and possibly humbling debate, followed by a glass of something nice.
Newcomers always welcome regardless of whether you were part of last year’s conversation.
