Led by Ellana (trained actor), this class is a safe, fun and creative environment with a strong emphasis on the nature of ensemble work. Together we play with movement, text, improvisation and performance to find confidence and strengthen our minds and bodies.
Every Tuesday you will find a handful of Branching Out members exercising their articulators, stretching their bodies and making each other laugh. We begin with a seated warm up and check in, followed by games (which to the onlooker might seem bonkers) and readings of scripts, texts or poems. By playing games that require thinking and movement combined, we exercise our bodies and cognitive function, which improves focus, memory and overall mental wellbeing. The aim of the class is to let go of your inhibitions and worries, to allow yourself to be in the present moment and have some fun! No experience necessary, just an open mind!
Doors open 12.15pm.
