Join professional dance artist Matthew Winston for an hour's introductory workshop to the Franklin Method. Experience a completely different way to train your body: improve your dynamic alignment, increase efficiency and discover flexibility through imagery.
The Franklin method is a somatic, imagery based training method that improves the way you move and use your body. It deepens your understanding of the body’s design and how it moves from an anatomical perspective, improving your body schema and imaging skills - because when we move with an accurate image of our structure, we move better, with more freedom and efficiency and less wear and tear. This creates longevity in the body, reduces risk of injury and, most importantly, helps us feel great.
The workshop will include a body-mind warm up, some anatomical and embodiment work, and finish with some gentle movement to leave you feeling fantastic.
