Local author Rosalind Stopps will discuss, and read from, her novel 'A Beginner's Guide to Murder.' Three women in their seventies come to the aid of a dishevelled and distressed teenage girl who is being pursued by a disreputable-seeming man. The women, exploiting the invisibility that their age brings, decide that the only solution to the girl's predicament involves murder. Ingenious, touching and funny, and largely set in Brockley, the novel interleaves themes of vulnerability, invisibility and hidden strengths. Come and enjoy a drink, hear Rosalind talk about her novel, and ask questions or just enjoy the discussion. Reading the book beforehand is desirable but not essential.
Doors open at 7.30pm.
