Oakey Blokeys Drama Group Performance

3.00pm to 3.45pm

Telegraph Hill Centre Narthex

A bunch of local dads with young children have devised their own performance piece to entertain small children and adults.  With no experience whatsoever, this could be a triumph or complete humiliation.  Of course, being dads with young children this is an everyday part of life - that's the joy!

A short performance of magic, slap-stick, music, storytelling and fairy tales for very young children, performed by the Oakey Blokeys drama group made up of dads whose children attend Oakhill Nursery on Wallbutton Rd.  Who will get gunged?  The wolf?  You?

Democracy - It Was Good While It Lasted

In this age of spin, never have so many been manipulated by so few.  A talk and a call to action by Barrie Hall who argues that we now live in a post-democracy or fake democratic society where the gap between people and the political elite is widening with dire consequences.

Barrie Hall is a maths and science tutor.  He has written and appeared in television entertainment shows for broadcasters including Channel 4 and BBC TV.  He previously worked as a press officer for five years.  He is a parent governor of Edmund Waller School.  He will be standing for the Liberal Democrats in the local government elections in May 2010.
