A message from Vanessa
In case you haven't already heard, next year's Festival will take place between Friday 12 March 2010 and Sunday 21 March. We have had two planning meetings which have been very well attended and lots of new events have been proposed. Our next meeting is on Tuesday 12 January at 8pm in the upstairs offices of the TH Centre on Kitto Rd. That will be a programming meeting where we hope to agree the content and timings of the majority of the events, if not all.
For anyone who is willing or has already agreed to organise or host an event I attach an event information form. Please complete a form for each event you are involved with and return it to me as soon as possible. Further instructions are on the form itself. (
For those new to the area or to the Festival, please note that the Festival does not receive any public funding. We depend on income from sponsorship, ticket sales and bar sales and on the generosity of all the participants donating their time and talent. Expenses, which need to be indicated in advance, will be covered where possible but ticket sales, etc go to Festival funds rather than to performers. On our part, we will ensure wide distribution of the Festival programme and do our best to further publicise your event in advance.
If you are not organising an event but would like to get involved in other ways, such as working behind the bar, box office, stewarding, publicity and sponsorship, getting venues ready or technical support (or anything else you can think of!), please let me know and I will put you in touch with the appropriate person.

The last meeting for Festival 2009 was a public 'Wash-Up meeting' on Monday March 30th at 8pm at the Hatcham Oak Children's Centre, Wallbutton Road, London, SE4.
