There's a number of activities this year which centre around food including:

 

WORLD ON A PLATE: INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL

Saturday 23rd March

11am - 4.30pm  - Telegraph Centre and garden

Last year's International Food Festival brought the world on a platter.  This year it will be even better so bring your appetites and taste buds. food will be served from around the world to sample and buy. If you would like to participate e-mail Jacqui Walker here

FESTIVAL CAKE COMPETITION

Sat, 23 March, 10.00am-4.00pm

Café Fed (above The Hill Station) Note change of venue!

10.00am–4.00pm

Bake a cake, large or small, fancy or plain, decorated if you wish, and then let the Festival-going public of Telegraph Hill judge the results!  New for 2013 only! - A "Cakes Made by Men" category.

Another opportunity to bake, sample and vote for your top three favourite cakes in the following categories: Traditional teatime; Decorated or Novelty Cakes; Made by Children (0-16 years). Plus, for this year only, a new category - "Cakes Made by Men". Entry forms available at the box office, to download or by email here

Deliver cakes before 12 noon, judging from 1-3pm. Grand prize giving at 4pm.

Free to enter competition, £1 for adults and 50p for children to taste and judge.

 

To mark the 5th anniversary of the Telegraph Hill Festival Cake Competition, a limited edition Cake Competition Recipe Book has been published. In full colour and with 22 unique and beautifully photographed recipes.

GROW WILD

And while we are on the subject of food - let's not forget a really exciting initiative all about growing food. The Common Growth project and Grow Wild are having special Grow events

SATURDAY 23rd March - Grow Wild - Gardens and Cooking Tour.  Meet at Telegraph Hill Centre Foyer 11.00am–2.15pm

SUNDAY 24th March - See how our garden grows! Common Growth Community Garden, Sandbourne Road 2.00pm–5.00pm
