 Transition Town New Cross presents cult documentary Food, Inc which takes an unflattering look inside America's corporate-controlled food industry.  Followed by short discussion.

Transition Town New Cross presents cult documentary Food, Inc.  The Academy Award nominee takes an unflattering look inside America's corporate-controlled food industry.  Agri-business is currently lobbying for similar operations to start in the UK.  Followed by a short discussion and hopefully presentation by Sandbourne Road community food growing project.

FESTIVAL CAKE COMPETITION

The now famous festival Cake Competition will be held on

Saturday 2nd April - Telegraph Hill Centre Lounge 10am-4pm

 

Free to enter but £1.00 for adults and 50P for children to taste and judge.

WORLD ON A PLATE: INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL

Saturday 2nd April

11am-4.30pm

Kitto road will be closed off for a celebration of food from around the world. Cafe Fed (above The Hill Station) will serve as a base for food from around the world to sample and buy. If you would like to participate e-mail Jacqui Walker here

DESERT CAVE DINING

The Restaurant at the End of the Road presents: Desert Cave Dining.  This Moroccan themed restaurant will appear like a mirage for only two nights offering cocktails, a three course meal, wine and live entertainment.  Over 18s only.  Limited access

Friday and Saturday 26th March

Meet at Telegraph Hill Centre at 7.pm for both events.

Tickets £20.00 includes wine and entertainment

A moroccan spice market.

 

COMMON GROWTH ACTIVITY DAY

And while we are on the subject of food - let's not forget a really exciting initiative all about growing food. The Common Growth project (supported by Bold Vision) is having a special open day on Sunday 3rd April from 11am-5pm on Sandbourne Road (Jerningham Road end).

Call in to find out more about this new community project.  Activities and information - give us your views.  Seed planting workshops at 11, 1pm and 3pm.  Plant some seeds and take them home to grow.
