Comedy
"The person who knows how to laugh at him/herself will never cease to be amused"
Shriley MacLaine
Throughout the festival you'll be laughing, but there a few events which really encourage this - like the now famous Festival Comedy Night. This year there are 150 tickets for the Monday gig - 9pm at the Telegraph Hill Centre but make sure you get a ticket. If it's anything like last year you'll be rolling in the smiles.
For those who were not able to make it here is a little snippet of what you missed....

Another glorious gala of comedy overload. | Comedy has now been part of our lives for 638 years, but those early, brave pioneers of joke would never have imagined that, in 2011, we would be experiencing the ultimate in uncontrollable laughter at this year's Comedy Night. The glorious gala of comedy overload of Chris Lynam and Kate McKenzie. Then there's Stephen Frost Impro All Stars including local boy Phil Nice. Finally the finely-honed comic anarchy of Arthur Smith will leave us wanting more. | Telegraph Hill Centre Narthex |
